CutiePi shell, our open source mobile UI, turns Raspberry Pi OS into a functional tablet UX while maintaining compatibility. It provides everything you need on the go: from typing a command in terminal, connecting to a WiFi hotspot, to logging into webpages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Other than built-in apps and UI designed for the touch screen, we plan to support Raspberry Pi OS desktop and apps via XWayland.
Initial test shows that with a 5000mAh battery, 50% display brightness, and WiFi connection, we have reached about 5 hours of stand-by time.
We have finished most of hardware enablements and driver verifications for DVT (CutiePi board V1.2), as well as enclosure design, now we are preparing to launch a crowdfund project.
It will likely be in the $150-$200 range. Please find the bill of materials in design files if you can't wait.
